Mercedes uses a service schedule with the letters A-H to denote the relevent maintenance recommended.A is the basic oil service and H is the most inclusive. The intermediate letters correspond to proportional services. The service light should be reset at the completion of the service. This can be done via interface or using the controls and menus on the steering wheel. The specific format for resetting is different for different years and models.Alldata is fairly accurate for reset guidelines, but is not correct on some.Make sure to use synthetic oil in all newer MB,especially with extended oil change intervals.

during the b service you replace the a/c dust filter and perform the oil change. To reset turn key on and scroll with page buttons on steering shell until you see the odometer reading(normal).next scroll up with arrow keys until you see the service interval screen. There should be a black button on the cluster possibly imprinted with an "r" hold that button until the screen displays -do you want to reset service interval. Release button and press again. You must hold that button for approx. 10 seconds before it will ask if you want to reset. Hopefully I have been helpful
I hope all you want is to reset the service indicator and this is how you do it.
Tum the key to position one, scroll using the arrows on your steering wheel until the service interval or indicator is shown, press the reset button for at least 2 seconds (the reset button is the one you use to reset the trip meter or increase and decrease light intensity of the dashboard).
