Could be alot of different things. try disconnecting the fuel line at the motor to see if you have fuel when the key is turned on. (put open end of line in a bottle preferrably clear to inspect for debris or water) If not replace fuel filter. could be a clogged catalytic converter, could be clogged injectors (if when you remove the fuel line at the motor there is fuel coming out when ignition is turned on) could be air filter is clogged. You can get rid of most of these without disconnecting anything by getting a can of choke and carb cleaner. Use it like you would starter fluid. (dont use starter fluid as it may lock up your motor) disconnect air filter and spray about a 2 second full spray into the air filter hose. have someone try to start the car. If it starts then you know its a fuel delivery problem and narrows it down for you.
