SOURCE: vw polo driveshaft torx splines problems

Hi Ammar

If your torx bolt splines are shot.

Hammer on the surface face, with a long round drift to loosen the bolt threads slightly, and close up the torx hole, and try the torx splined socket again.

If no good try mole grips on the head of the bolt to loosen it.

If not enough room for them, try a chisel on the outer edge of the bolt, this normally does it.

Failing this try hammering on a slightly smaller external socket, than the head of the bolt, then try removing.

Good Luck !

Let me know how you get on.

A FixYa rating would be nice !

SOURCE: vw polo intermitent abs sensor light on dash have

They are an encapsulated device attached to the brake backplate so cleaning is via a pressure washer.

You could take an ohms meter and check the continuity of the opposite one and use that as a reference against the first

A lot of garages will just us the method of swop it out with a new one.

My Polo 1.4 automatic gearbox doesn't shift gears while driving

Sorry for that. There quite many things that could lead to Gear shifting problem. Let me hope your vehicle is Automatic transmission system. I would like to know the last time you serviced the your car, did the technician change the transmission fluid or not? If the transmission fluid has not been changed for a longtime, you need to consider changing that transmission fluid and observe the behavior of you car after that and ensure that the level is appropriate.

My VW 1.4 automatic polo is not changing gears. its just stuck in gear 1 and consumes a lot of fuel.

If the engine light is blinking you have major issues with the vehicle. Have scanned at autozone or similar for codes this will give you a idea what is wrong. Then get back to me when you have codes

Automatic transmission fluid vw polo

The dash lights are powered by the battery through the ignition switch via a fuse. Check the electric connections and conditions of the wires.

Change the transmission fluid to solve transmission issues. Original fluid is always preferable as it is specifically designed for the transmission.

How do I fill transmission oil in vw polo 1997 automatic?

The transmission is sealed, it takes a special tool to fill it correctly, the dealer is the one with the tool.

My car is a VW Polo 2005 the problem is, drivers lock doesnt open with remote control, just with key and pulling the interior handle, any ideas?

The tiny motor that would automatically unlock the door with the remote is burnt out. It needs to be replaced. You can take it to a gas station garage that can usually fix it for a little cheaper than a VW Dealership BUT, sometimes you just have to take it to a VW Dealership because some areas of the car need "keys" to unlock certain panels of the car. VW is tricky like that. Good Luck!
