Sounds like you either have a bad battery, bad battery terminal connection, or bad battery cable.
Being this is a 2002, I am thinking it's just a bad battery, and the battery that's in the vehicle is battery 2nd, maybe 3rd battery ever put in the vehicle. It's about time for it to fail.

Check connection at battery must be clean and tight, if they are then have battery tested if battery is good then replace the starter, thats your problem. good luck.

Highly Likely to be the solenoid.
But first make sure the battery is fully charged.

Wont start keeps making clicking noise

If you can hear a click (quite loud) from the engine compartment, but the starter won't crank, this also could be caused by discharged battery-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

1999 Toyota solara is making making a clicking sound before I start in the morning, after 3 clicks it starts, I already know the fuel/air sensor needs to be replaced but would this cause the car not to...

It could be the starter solenoid clicking if the noise comes while holding the key in the Start position. It can also be the starter relay. Here's a thread on a similar problem:

WONT START, BATTERY IS UP. MAKES CLICKING SOUND.

if the clicking sound comes from the solenoid when you try to start the engine the solenoid may need replacing, the solenoid is like a big switch that takes the power from the battery to the starter motor, inside it there contacts that come together to make contact & that is where the problem is.....hope this helps.....cheers

Wont start funny clicking sound when i turn the key ???

Hi!!

The clicking you are hearing, is the sound of a weak battery, Jump start the vehicle and take it to an AutoZone for a Charging System check.

Good Luck!!

2005 Ford Escape does not start, makes clikcing sound

sounds like the starter solenoid is defective, the contacts inside the solenoid get worn from electrical arching and then a no start occurs, the indication is a fairly loud clicking noise when you try to start the engine.
