If your vehicle is equipped with an aftermarket security system, it could be causing this. I have removed several these systems from my customer's cars for the same reason. GM has technical service bulletins that discuss this as well as other driveability/emissions problems that these systems have been causing.
If there is no aftermarket in your car, I would scan the Body Control Module (BCM) first to see if the computer knows anything.
No codes - I would look into a possible loose connection or bad switch in one of the door panels.

Dude, the same thing happened with my EL falcon. It turned out to be the key fob!
The buttons were sometimes sticking and all of a sudden it would re-lock. Ususally it would unlock then immediately relock. Leaving no time to get into the the car. Sometimes we would be driving and the Alarm would go off without touching a thing. I ditched the Key Fob and all was well again.
I hope this helps

SOURCE: automatic 4x4 locking hubs one side not locking in
There is a possibility the axel U-joint is binding, this will put side load on the hubs and keep them from working properly. Turn the steering wheel either far right or left and with front of truck off the ground or the front end disengaged, see if the axel shafts turn free, both sides. If there is binding the U-joint(s) will have to be replaced.
