95 Honda Civic Steering wheel jogging to the left?

Intermittently driving down the road the My 95 Honda Civic LX steering wheel is pulling to the left suddenly and then back to normal rapidly. When this occurs is usually headed down a hill without acceleration. Never feel it when i accelerate. Very scary, maybe the rack or pinion? The mechanic seems to baffled as well? Had the car for 10 years, this is a new one on me. Seems to have the power to fix itself when I take it to the mechanic??

After hitting a curb I have the same problem, rather frequently. The power unit is just jerking the wheel. There is also a loud popping noise near the steering column that happens once, followed by the wheel jerking, usually to the right and sometimes to the left. It is accompanied by a whirring noise, like the power steering pump makes when it is low on fluid. Good luck, to me and you.

I have a 2004 honda civic and it makes a droaning noise when i change gears, coudl this be an internal gearbox fault? i also have a constant screaching noise when driving when i slighly move the steering...

Pilot bearing or a throw bearing is what makes the noise while shifting gears and as for the steering noise, you either have low steering fluid or the steering pump belt is loose.

My 95 Honda accord lx made a pop sound from the front while I was driving, and now my car is shaking like crazy and my steering wheel is also wobbling, even when I'm rolling from releasing the break....

You need to take action immediately as this is a serious issue. It is important that you jack by the car and check on both the left and right side suspension and steering sections. It is possible that a link of the suspension has come off. Check the balance rod, the shockabsorbers, the lower arm, the steering links, ball joints and the struts. You must not drive the car unless this is repaired.

My car is Honda Civic 1995 model. When I drive it on an irregular road or even on straight road it's steering moves left and right. It did not have complete grip on the road. It seems like the where ever...

Hi, to me the problem sounds like the track rod ends need replacing these are what connects the steering to the hub now when you turn the wheel the track rod ends push the hubs in the way you want to turn but what happens ball joint on the track rod end get play in it is it allows the wheels to turn slightly on their own left and right now once these have been replaced you will have no problems.
if the ball joints where to break you would lose control of the car as the steering wheel would not turn the wheels as instructed and they would be free to turn any way they liked, this would cause damage to the front wings and the hub costing a fortune to put right, but as it stands the track rod ends cost very little to buy and dont cost much to get replaced.

how ever this isnt the kind of job you can do yourself as you would need to get the tracking set up to ensure the wheels are driving in a strait line as their is adjusters that need to be set up after the track rod ends are fitted.

once you have the track rod ends ( tie rods also known as) fitted you will have no further problems and you will then be in full control of your vehicle it will feel a lot more responsive to your control so this needs doing sooner rather than later.
