SOURCE: New brakes still making grinding noise

Sounds like it is your hub bearings.  Jack the car up and check for play in the hub bearings.  More than likely this is your issue and the bearings need to be replaced.  Hope this helps.  Thanks for an honest rating.

SOURCE: A lot of noise from the front brake discs

Try changing the type of brake pads you are using. It will make a difference on the noise and all of the dirty brake dust that gets on the rims.

SOURCE: Car makes grinding noise when I try to start,

You may need to install what they call shims in between the starter and the flywheel in order to align it correctly with the flywheel

SOURCE: Brakes are making loud grinding noise when slowing down to stop or on an incline

Ok, it could be a few things, 1. bad break caliper. 2. if you have ceramic breaks, it could be a cracked brake pad, and if they are not ceramic they can still be cracked. 3. if you drive a lot then it could be that you need new breaks again.. 4. also have your back breaks checked along with the front ones..

Linc LS 00 left rear wheel bearing making noise , increase acceleration noise it goes away sounds like a sqeek certain spot on rotation

probably not a bearing but a low disc pad indicator rubbing on the disc rotor
check pad thickness and if close to 1/8 inch , replace the pads
bearings rumble and are worse on cornering

Why does my impala make a grinding noise when I accelerate from a parked position. It only does it for a second but my car doesn't want to move. Is it a wheel bearing?

could be but I suspect that it is a disc pad stuck on the disc

check pads for wear and the callipers for free movement on the mounting pins as they can rust and leave one pad hard on the disc.

Grinding noise

Usually a grinding noise in a disc brake is caused from a rotor with a raised edge that froms from normal wear. The raised edge is not a big deal until you install NEW disc brake pads. All of the sudden you have a grinding noise everytime you apply the brake because the NEW disc pad is being ground down but the raised surface created from the OLD Disc Brake Pad. Most of the time the Brake repair shops turn rotors on the car when the pads are replaced and this grinding symptom does not manifest itself.

On and OLD set of disc brake pads over time that raised area on the rotor starts to flake / rust / corrode and can come in contact with the brake disc pad when the brakes are applied.

Hope this explains it well enough.
