SOURCE: WHERE IS THE CAM POSITION SENSOR LOCATED ON A 2004 NISSAN MAXIMA

WHEN YOU STAND ON THE FRONT OF THE CAR YOU ONE IS RIGHT BELOW OF THE INTAKE WHICH IS BANK 2 OR THE ONE CLOSE TO FIREWALL , BANK 1 ONE IS ON SAME SIDE NEXT TO THE RADIATOR BUT THEY BOTH ON THE CAM RIGHT SIDE OF THE ENGINE, THE EASIEST WAY TO IDENTIFY THEM IS THAT THEIR CONNECTOR IS GREEN, ONCE YOU LOCATE THEM THE CLIP NEEDS TO BE PUSHED DOWN TOWARD THE SENSOR FOR THE CONNECTOR TO BE RELEASED, ONCE YOU REMOVE THE CONNECTOR THERE WILL BE ONLY A 10MM SCREW HOLDING THE SENSOR PULL IT OUT , THE SAME SETTING THE NEW ONE PUSH IT ALL THE WAY IN , THIGHT THE 10MM SCREW, CONNECT IT BACK AND YOU'RE DONE,BUT FOR THE ONE ON THE BACK SOMETIMES MIGHT BE NECESARY FOR YOU TO TAKE THE INTAKE OFF....HOPEFULLY IS NOT YOUR CASE....

Good luck!!! and if you need the crank for hard starting on hot/warm, it is located on the botton middle section on the transmission is the only cable that goes down to a small piece of metal and it is held by a 10mm screw only to protect the sensor, you will se the sensor once you remove that small about 6-8 inches piece of metal. Then you'll be able to unescrew the 10mm screw that holds the crank position sensor. when you pull it off you'll be able to see the fly wheel inside the transmission...

you all enjoy your rides out htere!!!

SOURCE: 2004 Nissan Maxima temp gauge fluctuation

well the temperature control gage is connected to the engine block and consists of 1 wire for the reading of the motor heat either the sensor is going bad or you need to check your coolant levels in the radiator make sure the engine is cool before opening the thermostat cap to the radiator so not to get burnt ...also make sure the wire itself is not grounding out on the engine block to give the gage to give such a readout look to the engine and usually on the drivers side lower the plug wires you should see a plug with a wire coming from it ensure the wire is not rubbing on anything .

SOURCE: 2004 Nissan Maxima ABS light stays on, what do I

you need to run a scan to see what is wrong. it could be a wheel sensor or the abs pump. This is a realatively new vehicle and i would think something is blocking a wheel sensor from reporting info to the computer. some times things build up around the sensor and block it. or if there has been a recent accident one could be damaged and the shop didn't catch it. these parts really dont fail this quick look for something else. remove the wheels and look for a ring with a lot of teeth on the back side of the assembly. follow an electrical wire it will take you to the sensor which will be next to a ring with many teeth. The sensor recognizes the teeth moving and reports to the computer when they stop moving and that is when the abs starts pulsing the brakes for that wheel. if something gets in the way the sensor sees nothing and the light comes on. if this helps please reply cause that helps me keep answering here and good luck

there should be 6 coils 3 on the front and 3 on the back(front ones may be hid by the plastic peice that says 3.0 24 valve), just take 2 bolts per coil pack out and there will be a 6 in coil going down into the valve cover to the spark plug

2004 nissan maxima rear bulb replacement??

There is a plastic cover on the lens that covers the screws that hold the lamp on to the body. CAREFULLY pry the cover off to access screws, remove the screws and CAREFULLY pry the lens off. Replace bulb(s) reinstall after checking to see if bulbs are in fact working.
