Where is the reverse lights switch on a 91 leberon automatic mine is only 2 wires

Under the dash and is part of the neutral safety switch. It is adjustable, slots in the bracket, to set the switch for neutral start when in park or neutral. Backup lights are connected to that switch also.

wire/switch on reverse gear selector has been disconnected.

Two bolts at the front of the seat.

dave ,do you have it wired backwards? or there isn't enough pressure on it to activate . check that linkage is adjusted correctly

I would say that your reverse light switch is faulty, 98% sure its on your transmission. As for your cd player, you may have to replace that with another unit.

sounds like you have a bad reverse switch,possibly neutral switch if the reverse circuit is built within the neutral switch.you could have a bad wire causing the lights to be on all the time(power worn though touching the wire that goes to the backup lights.

no, they are 12 volt bulbs and require parallel wiring. If you have a manual transmission, check the reverse light switch on the transmission for continuity with the transmission in reverse. If you have an automatic, the reverse switch is integrated into the transmission range switch at the shift cable attach point. In either case, the wires at the switch are yellow/dark green stripe and brown/light green stripe.

There is a brake light switch located at the brake pedal (under dash) See figure

1. Remove brake pedal tension spring.

2. Disconnect switch wire connector.

3. Remove switch mounting nut, then slide switch from mounting bracket.

4. Reverse procedure to install.

On the side of your transmission will be a switch with several wires coming out of it. This is your reverse switch that turns on your reverse lights and most likely needs to be replaced

Range sensor? that would be a speedometer odometer sensor ! range traveled! you request if for reverse light switch yes? wiring and bulbs not the issue! the switch is located behind and down drivers side head light 1999 model is under battery box must remove to gain entry to switch round plug with flat top 2 wires entering hope this helps.
