Peugeot 3008 gear knob replacement - Peugeot Cars & Trucks

Some models have a "Cheat" where you can reset the gearbox using the pedals and ignition in a set order. Unfortunately I don't.know the sequence for Peugeot gearboxes.
The 'Heavy on the Gas' idea applies to both manual and auto gearboxes.

I am pretty sure that you have to replace the entire pretensioner unit. Not positive as I have not serviced a Peugeot, but any other I have comes complete.

Take it somewhere else for a second opinion, if you can get a full code read of all the car's ecu's and post the results it might show an underlying problem. There are many reasons for the problem you are having.

It's normally the wires in the loom that go to the injectors
or a fault on the ecu

Look closely at the underside of the gear knob and you will see how to unattach the gater from the lever / knob...

Then you need a very firm grip - twist the gearknob 90 degrees to the left.... once its in that position it will pull off.... may be stiff at this point too - but it should pull off now...
