What size socket do i need to fit axle nut on a 2007 dodge caliber?

Changing wheel bearing? what size is the drive axle nut on drive side 6cyl Should be 1 1/4", or 34mm.

That's not the way it works. you buy a socket set. It has one set of AF Sockets and one set of Metric sockets. The one you use is the one that fits.

36mm is the consensus of opinion, but in reality, it is the socket that 'FITS'! Most socket sets come in metric and imperial, you use that one that is the best fit.

I would ck again, you might just be seeing the plastic housing for the wiring connection and missing the actual brass nut directly below that housing, place the socket slightly over the housing and ck. the fit by attempting to turn the socket by hand in either direction. If you experience a loose fit where the socket turns just a little, slip the socket down until it seats against the base of the sensor firmly and try turning again. I would expect the socket once it is seated all the down onto the nut you will feel no movement when attempting to turn by hand.

the axle nut size is 36 mm.

Our is a 44mm socket size........thought i would post it, since the above was stupid and didn't....can't find one in town.
