2007 impala car died and flashed engine throttle disengaged. A couple meeting latter car started up

Tps is a possibility

Check the throttle body position sensor make sure its plunged in switch my be faulty.Unplug and see if car will start if so replace sensor .

You need to get the fault codes read to get the different faults and search what the codes mean to get a suggestion of where to look as sometimes the fault is upstream of the failed component

It sounds like the electronic throttle control has a problem, you need it scanned for proper function by a either a dealer or a shop that has the correct high end scanner to do the testing, as this part costs a fortune don't just throw parts at it have the testing done.

Depends on which engine. Located always at the front of the intake manifold air inlet to engine. Usually has plastic shrouds on it

If this vehicle is equipped with the cableless throttle, you need to try this first:
remove the air intake hose
clean the throttle door with an aerosol throttle cleaner
replace air intake hose
Upon starting, you may need to apply gas slightly while starting to clear the throttle cleaning chemicals from engine, continue to hold accelerator to 2000rpm for about 2-3 mins
release gas pedal slowly to allow ecm to relearn idle.
This procedure allows the ECM to relearn the vehicle true idle position.

There are hundereds of reasons for the light to illuminate, are you having any drivability issues? Have you had the light checked and if so what are the codes?

It sounds like these things are all related. When the a computer sees a problem in the Electronic throttle system, it will dissable traction control, and give the reduced engine power alert because the powertrain computer does not know the value of throttle postion.
Codes will need to be scanned in the computersto begin diagnosis.

Check the fuel pressure regulator. Its next to the throttle boby and has a vacumm hose connected.
