1995 Volvo 960 fuel rail leaking at forward plug. Is the plug screwwd in or what ?

Does it look like a screw or bolt?
Does it have a hex to fit a wrench or socket on? If it does, unscrew it and wrap Teflon tape (plumbers tape) around the threads, then put back in. If it's a plug, and it can't be unscrewed, the fuel rail likely needs replaced.

I have a 1996 960 volvo it gets power up hill an down hill and then it gets sluggish almost like it wants to stop.

Check ignition points (distributor, coils, wires and spark plugs) ten use a fuel pressure guage on the fuel rail comnector to see if ur fuel pump is giving consistant pressure. Also check / replace fuel pressure regulator if necessary

Leak at fuel rail on volvo 960

take a lead from your battery .then reach under the inlet manifold. remove the 10mm bolt and copper washers one each side of that bolt. that is the feed line from your fuel rail to the cold start injector .now remove each of the ten mil bolts holding on your fuel rail . now remove the clips holding the injectors to your fuel rail. place some clothes under the fuel rail and lift off . care needed due to fuel wear eye protection due to fuel pressure..

How do you take off the fuel rail on a 1996 Volvo 960?

Hesitation is rarely due to injector problems! Have you checked the throttle position sensor, and checked for possible vacuum leaks? What about the EGR valve?

1995 Volvo 960 idles rough, Emission Control light on dash is on

Possible intake gasket leak causing a misfire, or plugs or coil causing a misfire. each cylinder has its own coil. You can hear the vaccuum leak with your ears under hood if gasket is bad. Check eng codes at advance auto prob for free. If it has misfire codes only, prob coil or plugs. If misfire with fuel trim, prob gasket.

1993 960 no start problem

Is there fuel pressure at the fuel rail ? will need a electronic fuel pressure tester. Rough idling sometimes is a indication that the fuel pump is going south , could also be the fuel pressure regulator.
Also , electronically , check the diagnostic plug for codes.
