Anon, If you have oil in the coolant reservoir, that is not a good sign and you should quit driving until repairs are made. this could be a bad Intake/head gasket, cracked cylinder or head, etc.,have a good Technician diagnose before it leaves you stranded, with a large Tow bill.

Fiat ducato idoling and take away problems

Put a bottle of fuel injector cleaner in a full tank of gas every time you change the oil. Dirty injectors will cause this situation you speak of.

Sorry almost certainly your head Gasket, sound like a break between a cylinder and the water jacket - hence the bubbles.

Oil in water

Sounds like a blown head gasket. Is there any white smoke coming from the exhaust?

1990 Corolla started shaking after I accelerated rapidly (gunned the engine)

White smoke coming out of exhaust is water vapor. Blue is oil burning and black is carbon from unburned fuel.
U have water or coolant leaking into your combustion cylinders - not a good thing. Probably blown head gasket.

Check your oil - if it like a brown mud then the coolant has also gotten into the lubrication system.

Car feels like it's bogging down during acceleration, also sort of stutters starting at 45 mph and progressively gets worse above that. I had the radiator, timing belt, and water pump replaced last week....

try replacing your fuel filter, With big temperature swings this time of year, condensation (water) forms in fuel tank, Prior to changing fuel filter run a bottle of STP gas treatment or a good injector cleaner through it.

Water boiling out the bottle as the car overheat's

it is without doubt blown head gaskit,or cracked block---a quicktest at radiator centre will confirm this only takes a couple of minutes

Warning light comes on when accelerating from a stand-still in 1st / 2nd gear

Hi it sounds like the low water warning light for the windscreen washers, some models have a warning for low level. when you are accelerating the water level is running away from the sender. check the levels and fill up all your water bottles. try after that. hope this is your problem and it is ok.
