To activate a new transmitter in the tire pressure monitoring system WITHOUT the Nissan Consult scan tool: Under the dash above the OBD II connector is a single wire connector called the "tire pressure warning check connector". Use a jumper wire and ground the tire pressure warning check connector with the key OFF. Then turn the key ON and cycle the ground at the tire pressure warning check connector 5 times within 10 seconds of turning the key ON. This should cause the tire pressure monitor light to start flashing indicating the system is in "learn mode". Then use the activation tool starting at the left front tire and work around the vehicle in a clockwise direction - front left, front right, rear right and rear left. Activating each transmitter at each wheel should make the turn signal flash one time and after completing all 4 wheels, the turn signals should flash two times and all 4 time pressures should be displayed.

Here's asite that will explain everything you need to know about airbag systems, airbaglights and resetting the system. Itshows you the location of the components and the procedure for diagnosingand/or resetting airbag light. Not allvehicles need everything replaced. You cancheck to see if your car is listed here. http://www.airbagsolutions.com/ Airbagsolutions.comalso has the fault code charts to tell you what is wrong and how to fix it! Some vehiclemanufacturers let you access and reset systems without a scanner (like Toyota,Lexus, Nissan, Infinity, Honda, Acura, Ford, Lincoln, Mazda & Mercury) andsome require a scan tool. Althoughit's a pay site ($14.95/day), it's a lot cheaper than going to the dealer Here's the page in this site that tells you which cars needa scan tool and which ones can be done without I hope I've helped you http://www.airbagsolutions.com/scanlist.aspx http://www.airbagsolutions.com/light.aspx http://www.airbagsolutions.com/vehicles_list.aspx

Using a 14mm wrench, put it at about 4 o'clock on the spring tensioner arm & pull down. This relives tension on the belt, slide the belt off the wheelicon1.png that's to the right of tensioner. I have a nisssan sentra 2002 with code p0031 what is this?

this obd2 trouble code table can help you understand the menaing of code, and for p0031, try:

check for 12 volts at the heater circuit feed (hint: unplug the sensor and check at the wiring connector to do this measurement).

check the ground circuit for continuity.

measure the resistance of the heater circuit (done on the sensor itself).

measure the resistance and voltage of the wiring.

All you have to do to reset the TPMS light is make sure all your tires are set around 35-38 psi then drive it a a couple miles and the light will turn off. If it is blinking then you have a sensor issue and you will have to take it to the dealer. The tire pressure warning light is yellow not red."Your vehicle has also been equipped with a TPMS malfunction indicator to indicate when the system is not operating properly. The TPMS malfunction indicator is combined with the low tire pressure telltale. When the system detects a malfunction, the telltale will flash for approximately one minute and then remain continuously illuminated. This sequence will continue upon subsequent vehicle start-ups as long as the malfunction exists. When the malfunction indicator is illuminated, the system may not be able to detect or signal low tire pressure as intended. TPMS malfunctions may occur for a variety of reasons, including the installation of replacement or alternate tires or wheels on the vehicle that prevent the TPMS from functioning properly. Always check the TPMS malfunction telltale after replacing one or more tires or wheels on your vehicle to ensure that the replacement or alternate tires and wheels allow"
