Could be a bad coil, ignition module, crankshaft sensor, distributor cap, distributor, ignition rotor or a broken timing belt. It could also be that there has been a loss of power or ground to components in the ignition system or even a bad Engine Control Module.

HI 2001 Nissan sentra - Car turing over but not starting - The saprks are firing too slow to get the car to turn over. Do I need to change coil pack or spark plug ?

Take the cap and button off the distributor and there is a lil plate under the cap ,unscrew the screw and see IR there is metal shavings and if it looks burnt up . If so replace the distributor . It happened to my mercury villager and it is a Nissan quest motor in it . Could be the problem ,,I couldn't believing it was that because it was getting fire but not at the right time the injector were injecting .

2001 Quest: I own a 2001 Nissan Quest. About a year ago I took...

you have a bad blower motor. It is drawing too much current causing the resistor to go.

The other problem is your spark plug wires have bad insulation. Change them with at least 8mm diameter wires.
Ignore knock sensor code, it is responding to misfire.
