2011 Chevy Cruze LT 1.4L 4 cy Gas All of sudden engine light came on,idled rough and a couple of times fan stayed on after car turned off. Went to autozone had codes pulled they said replace MAF sensor. Done. Still has rough idle. Any ideas?

Before replacing the O2 sensors, I would check the fuel pressure. You may also try to have someone pull a trouble code from the powertrain control module to verify why the engine light is on. Do not replace any parts until this is done, otherwise your going to be guessing at the root cause, and it will get expensive with part replacement.

P0304 Cylinder 4 Misfire Detected P0354 Ignition Coil 4 Control Circuit P0204 Injector 4 Control Circuit You need to check injetror wires an coil wires .If good, The new coil my not be good.The Injector my be bad. If good it the ECM Check all fuses.

silly question, however did you check the air box for nests. it is not uncommon for rodents to climb in and make themselves at home. i would also say to get a maf from ford. check ALL around the engine compartment and underneath for evidence of rodents and their leavings. youll be very suprised what you may find.cheers

You may have to dig deeper for a vacuum leak. It's possibly the intake manifold gasket. Try spraying some starting fluid around the intake manifold. Also try disconnecting the brake booster and plugging that hose, the diaphram in the booster could be ruptured, causing a vacuum leak. Check the PCV valve and hose too.

I know the post is old but this is for the people who have the same problem like me and still search the web for a solution. P0300 random misfire code, rough idle after it warms up and then exhaust smells like eggs. Check the plugs 5 and 6 should have black carbon (rich fuel) plugs 1 to 4 look good. The problem was for me the Fuel Pressure Regulator. You will have to remove the air plenum to get to the fuel injector spider. Not difficult just follow a repair manual. You should notice the intake under neat will have a blackened appearance for intakes 1 to 4 and 5 and 6 will look clean. The regulator is venting the fuel and it is running down into 5 and 6 hence the fouled spark plugs. The regulator is on the back of the spider and easy to replace the biggest problem I had was getting to the fuel lines to disconnect them. Runs great now.
