The red cap on your transmission should be on your drivers side, best to drain your fluid before putting new fluid in if you choose to do it yourself since there is no dipstick for a 2003 sunfire
Assuming it's an automatic transmission, locate the dipstick. You put the fluid in there. You need a transmission funnel. But first crank the car and check the level. Don't over fill!
The red cap on top of the transmission..best to take it to a mechanic so you don't over fill...since theres no dip stick to check.
SOURCE: transmission fluid
the tube is on the right side of the engine near the back. Remove the dipstick and add fluid with a funnel. When you check the fluid level, do so with the engine running in park. Be sure to buy the appropriate fluid for your make.

I assume this is an automatic transmission, you didn't say.
There is no dip stick on the transmission any longer.
You will have to go under the car to check. You may want to go to your local instant oil change and have them check the level.
If you feel you want to check it, here is a description of the location and process.
Make certain the vehicle remains level while checking the fluid.
Located just above the top sealing flange of the transmission oil pan you will find a threaded plug. Remove the plug and see if transmission fluid drips out of the hole. If so, the fluid level is correct. If not, remove the red fill cap on top of the transmission, driver side. Add fluid to the transmission until fluid dribbles out of hole.
Replace and tighten the plug.
Good luck.

You need to raise the vehicle and start it. Remove the plug near where the passenger side driveshaft comes out. The head of the plug is 7/16. Trans fluid will stream out of the hole when the engine is running when the transmission is full, If fluid doesn't run out, fill the trans until fluid runs out. The fill cap is red and it is on top under and around the air cleaner box. If you need more help let me know.

There is a plug located on top of the transmission under the brake master cylinder. It is held in place by a bolt on the side of the transmission near the firewall. Remove the bolt, then remove the plug. Fill it until the fluid comes out of the hole.
