Could be several things. Bad coolant temp sensor could be causing engine ECU to think it is warmed up when it is not. Other sensors can be good enough to start the engine, but fail almost immediately as the begin to heat up--think coil/ignition module--crank or cam sensor.
If the engine temp rise while sitting at lights then you have an air flow through radiator problem. Electric fans not working or viscous fan hub is faulty. high heat except at speed may indicate an air lock in the cooling system or coolant level in the radiator. Check at radiator cap not the reservoir.
Generally speaking, the common reasons for stalling are a faulty idle air control valve or a dirty throttle body. The computer controls idle speed by how much air is allowed into the intake thru the throttle body. Those two issues would be checked first. Is the check engine light on when the engine is running ?
check ignition module, ....... what was the number of the code ? the reason being is that when the misfire affects multiple cylinders other components has to be checked .......cat converter, ign mod,o2 sensors, etc ......
IF YOU REPLACE CRANKSHAFT SENSOR IT HAS TO HAS TO BE RELEARNED USING TECH 2 SCANNER.FOR THE IGNITION KEY REPLACEMENT.TURN IGNITION SWITCH TO THE ON POSITION FOR 10 MINUTES WITH ENGINE OFF.WHEN SECURITY LIGHT TURNS ITSELF OFF.THEN YOU TURN OFF IGNITION SWITCH FOR 5 SECONDS.THEN START THE ENGINE.
If it is the starter that will not turn the engine over,then the alternator is most likely not charging the battery,therefore letting it sit a while,lets the battery build back up.
Honda had a recall on the distributor itself they dont cover them any more. they are bad about going out i think its just the pick up that goes bad but you have to replace has a unit
I dont remember the name for it.VATS I think it's called,it a security item inside your steering wheel the little wire breaks and the system looses it's sense to know what's going on.The car thinks you are in drive mode.
