Hummer want start - 2003 Hummer H2

It sounds like the vehicle has a night time parking light feature.

The vehicle won't start because you disconnected the battery. The Security and Immobilizer needs resetting. Number 1 tip, never disconnect the ECM from power even when swapping batteries.

well is that hummer that a 2 ton or 4 ton vehicle ?

would take a lot of revs for first gear to make it roll from a standing start
think it will be fitted with an 6 speed automatic transmission

guessing only from my heavy vehicle driving experiences
first should change below 3000 rpm

if transmission was slipping in first gear you would know

I'm not a Hummer mechanic but I would say it is related, and I would go on to suppose that the fuse panel got wet and caused your troubles. I hope you had a reputable glass shop install your glass because they will be responsible for any repairs and damages.

Hummer will have a hard start if it is short of water.Check the coolant level whilst the car is cold and refill the water tank for the radiator.When the water level is low hummer will have a hard start

Possible fuel filter, fuel pump issue. Check out these items and let me know what you find.

make sure all windows are closed
get out of the Hummer, using the central lock, lock the 4 doors
close the door
then open it with the KEY
then try to Start the Hummer.
(repeat several times till it works)
I am facing this problem now and that is the only soluttion I found. Untill i buy a new remote key that got stolen :S

In order not to fall in this problem, avoid opening the hummer with the key and directly locking the four doors using the central lock before starting it.
