I have a 2004 Silverado with the same problem.
After scrollng the internet for months and reading every manual I could get my hands on, I found, for me, a quick and easy way. Open the hood, remove the cover to the Underhood Fuse Block on the drivers side of the vehicle near the battery.
If you have the manual for your truck, go to page 5-126 and locate the fuse that says IPC/DIC, it is a 10 amp fuse.
Pull the fuse and start your truck or a few sceonds.
You will notice that nothing on your insterment will work.
Turn engine off and replace fuse.
After I did this, the message did not come back, and started my truck about 15 times to make sure.
It worked for me....good luck to you.

If all the sensors retrained, you either still have low tire pressure, or the computer which reads the sensors needs to be reprogrammed with a different tire pressure threshold.
SOURCE: abs light comes on,along with traction off
It could be the cause if something happend to one of the wires going to the ABS sensors at the wheels.
