Check for a vacuum leak. First check the heater control valve to see if gray vacuum hose came off.

I HAVE A 03 CHAVY CAVALIER AND MY BATTERY LIGHT CAME ON TODAY AND MY AIR STOPED WORKING. IT WOULD STILL BLOW BUT IT WAS NOT COOL.

Hi Britnie, The battery light means it's not charging , Alternator problem , possibly ! Is there a auto parts store near you ? Most will check it out for free ! With ac not working too , could be just the serpentine belt . The belt turns the alternator an ac compressor !

The defrost suddenly quit working this morning and the cab smelled funny in the ford F150 XLT Triton truck I am driving.

Look under dash panel on drivers side above gas pedal is a servo motor that turns a large roundish cam plate. With the key on, see if the cam turns in proportion to the heater control. I have seen some f-150s where the foam that seals the function doors in the heater box falls off and jams the doors up. If the cam plate only turns a little, remove the servo and cam plate(8mm screws) and see if all the levers under the cam move freely. if they don't then you probably have a jammed door and the dash and heater box need to be removed to fix it. BIG JOB!
Hope this helps
