I have a 1999 nissan pathfinder and it will not crank

It started the day before yesterday it would idle rough and the next day it would shut off unless you were going down the road but it would crank back if you would wait about ten minutes and let it cool off now today it wont crank at all yesterday the motor would kick back when you tried to crank it but today it just spins over and wont crank

You mean it will crank but not start ? Do you have normal compression, spark and fuel pressure ?
If the timing belt broke you won't have compression on all cylinders.

was it doing this before you changed them? something is wrong with your firing, recheck firing order. could be a component you swapped in is faulty. if it was doing this before you changed them check crank sensor and lambda sensor

Working on a 97 nissan pathfinder would start but very rough idle and would not rev up. changed plugs cap and rotor now wont start at all? any help would be great
most likely coil insulation has failed.most commonly occurs in tower area.remove cap,crank engine and watch where spark arcs to .if it comes out anywhere but the outlet portion of the tower or you dont see any at all...the coil has a failure.bad news is you have toget the whole distributor assy.coil not serviced separately.

Shuts down going down the road shuts off completely
vehicle shuts down while driving down road and does not start backup for at least 20 minutes, could be a bad crank sensor. if bad it will start and run fine, but it will keep shutting down until fixed.

Try measuring fuel pressure, if out of specs it could be the problem. should be 34 psi with the vacuum line at the fuel pressure regulator plugged in and 43psi with it unplugged. If out of specs. you'll need a pump.
