Fit outer door handle - 2007 Proton Satria Neo

To do this you first have to remove the door panel on the inside while mkeing sure that the window is rolled all the way up then look on the inside of the door in the area of the outer door handel and you should see 2 taps and a couple metal rods, connected to the outer door handle, first disconnect the rods then remove the taps pull the door handle out from the outside and then reinstall in reverse!

remove the door trim and inside at the handle you will see 2-3 nuts that hold the handle in the outer skin of the door.

Remove the door's inner (interior) panel and inspect the trailing edge of the inside of the door. You should be able to see the door linkage from both the inner door handle and (what's left) of the outer handle (try moving the inner handle to see how the linkage is routed. I suspect that when the outer handle broke, its linkage dropped onto the inner handle's linkage and jammed it. With a long screwdriver, try moving the inner handle linkage to release the door latch and then replace the outer handle and its linkage (a salvage yard may be the best source and a Mitchell body repair manual should show hoe the linkage is routed and attached. There isnt one it just hooks around handle and lock mechanisem but its a realy heavy cable or wire is it in its slot as if its not fitted correctley on the door handle part it will be slack there should be a small white plastic bit on the end of the outer cable part this should fit in a slot on the door handle bit its a bit like the brake set up on a peddle bike

I've seen this way too many times...the rod connecting the handle and the actuator has come off. You can take the door panel off and reconnect it - just take a good look, it's very obvious how where it fits in to. If the rod will not stay in the slot on the handle or the actuator the clip is broken - the handle's clip will come with a new lock rod, but the clip on the actuator is integral and you'd have to replace the entire actuator - also very easy.

Check around your door handle for damage - this happens a lot during breakins.

you have to take off the inner door panel and there should be a device that hooks up to the outer door handle. then the outer handle should come off.

has to remove the inside panel door and remove the clip inside to open the handle cover then u can see the two nuts and remove them

On the inside trim, you can remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Then you'll need to manipulate the panel and disconnect the door handle linkage from the door handle and disconnect the wiring for your controls. Then you can remove the inner door handle and replace with new one. If it's your outer door handle, pull back the weather seal and disconnect the linkage to the outer door handle and then remove the bolts securing the outer handle to the door

I don't think you need to remove the outer door handle.I hope this helps and google search a bit on it and you will get the answer.According to my experience,to replace the window you don't need to remove to outside door handle..Hope this helps.

hi there undo the phillips screw inside the handle the gently slide the whole handle outer casing to the right about 1 cm, it will help if you push it into the door as you do it to give it a little bit of help the feed the whole mechanism through the hole in the panel hey presto!
