Removing rear door liner to fit new handle

The top bezel pops off. There are usually 2 screws to remove from the top of the bottom bezel on each side. start popping the bottom bezel off the hatch. It won't come out. Screws on the bottom. But you can get if off enough to reach down and grab the latch rod or latch to release the hatch. Yes the latch is at the bottom. And it has levers to move to open the hatch. Once open, remove the screws to remove the bezel, then replace the latch.

Danielle, On the driver side you may have stuff in the way, which may have to be removed, to change bulb. Sometimes it is easier to remove headlight then change bulb and reassemble. Videos attached make it look fairly easy to change he bulb with out removal of headlight.

is this body trim or door trim.
chapter 9 covers this. in the book.
but ive no idea what exact part you are touching.
are is this the seals, or plastic part?

on all cars there are 3 ways.
1: remove front screws, if present.
2: remove rear screws.
3: pry off cover. front.
how to you tell which from what? ans: lack of screws.

has only laps on front bumper, ends. and 2 screws, in lens.
did you look first?

remove the cover from inside the door u will find nuts unscrew them and it will come out remember there are wire attacheds to it remove them carefully and remember which wire goes where

1. open the rear door
2. open the rear door sidings
3. try loosing the not of the handle
4. remove the steel wirings of the handle
5. install the new rear door handle

You'll need to remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. If needed, you can pull back the weather seal (can't reuse it, but it's not that important) and you will be able to access everything inside the door

The fuse box is on the left side under the dash board on driver side closer to your left foot

I had to do the same hting for my 2001 vitara
for me i had to do it from the inside of the car
i had to take of the entire panel under the rear window which was pretty much all just snaps so it was pretty easy
