Check instrument cluster 5 amp fuse.check main fuse relay box left end of the instrument panel.look inside fuse cover it will show you fuses location to control circuits.

the chances are your brake light switch is faulty.the cruise control relies on one side of the switch.
the epc light will come on for this code but will need to be reset through diagnostics port.

probably you have either fitted the wrong bulb, accidently fitted the bulb wrong or shorted out the wiring or holder, look in your handbook for fuse location and double check your hatch bulb.
