I need timing marks on 1997 cad.sev 4.6 eng - 1997 Cadillac Seville

There has to be more to the stamped number...normally it is on the backside of the motor...but I am looking up that info you have provided.

Timing mark on the cam sprocket is on the web between two of the holes. The timing mark on the crank sprocket is a small dot on the tip of one tooth. If you cannot find it make sure the sprocket isn't on backwards. These points will line up with the tabs on the tensioner AND be straight across from each other. Make SURE the tensioner is compressed while you are installing the chain. You push in on the spring and put a pin/nail through the hole to hold it in place.

exhaust cadalidic converts there is 4 of them 2 in front of the cads, and 2 after the cads.

disconnect the battery is one way to disable the computer ,as for the timing marks i havent a clue what you are trying to do from the description you have given ,sorry

yes on 3 & 4 cylinder eng.

If you are asking for torque spec for the engine, you are probably doing some serious work.
You should get a Service Manual for your car. You can get on eBay(www.ebay.com). Sometimes the manual will cover several models so contact the seller to make sure your model is included.
