Do an upper intake clean that should help with the idle problem. May also have a throttle position sensor problem.

SOURCE: 2004 Grand Cherokee: oil pressure fluctuates

if you know for certain that the sending unit is correct and the guage is accurate, then yiu may have big problems.....while the engine is running open the oil filler hole.. is everything wet with oil? or does it look dry or just a little lubed? you can allways install an aftermarket oil pressure guage(crappy tire) if you get the same results with that then you may have a week oil pump....worst case scenerio... need an engine rebuild as the moter may have wear issues.does the pressure slowly drop as the motor warms up? at idle ? does it jump up when you step on the gas?

SOURCE: 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee Died while driving home

check the fuel pump fuse/relay, could be just bad enough to cause an intermittent start/no start. and check fuel pressure, spark and the crank position sensor.

SOURCE: Jeep liberty 2002.....ignition key lock

Most commonly it is the key is worn out. If you have a spare key or your current one is not too badly worn, have a copy of it made and try it in the switch. You will have to have the copy key "coded" so it will disable the anti-theft system in order for the engine to start. If the new key doesn't fix your problem, you will have to replace the tumbler assembly.

2002 Jeep Liberty ran car last night then went next day no start and the fuel gauge doesn't move so I put gas in it but still doesn't move nor start

Spray starting fluid into the engine air intake, if it fires up and dies you have a defective fuel pump most likely.

2002 Jeep Liberty has an intermittent starting problem. At times the car will not start, the starter will not even engage. If left for a couple of hours it will then start.

You could have a fuel delivery problem. Start by
  • checking fuel pressure. Fuel injected cars are very fuel pressure sensitive. Fuel pressure is very important and must be within specifications. However, if the pressure is low, it does not mean the pump is bad.
  • A plugged fuel filter, a pinched line, and low voltage at the pump can contribute to low fuel pressure. All three must be checked before replacing the pump.

2002 jeep liberty 3.7l starts but if you let off the gas it dies just replaced fuel pump checked fuel pressure and its low what eles could it be oh yeah the check engine light is on

-If pressure is low. Check fuel pressure regulator. Or replace it.
-Check engine light. You need an OBD II Scanner to read the code
and interpret it. What cause that light on? Before fix the problem.

Where is the fuel filter on a 2006 liberty 3.7L located?

The Liberty doesn't have an in-line fuel filter, it is part of the fuel pressure regulator on the top of the fuel tank and is not serviced unless the fuel press regulator is defective and being replaced.

I have a 2002 jeep liberty. It starts and idles fine but when you give it gas it loses power. does not go dead just spudders really bad. Only does this when it is hot. after it cools it runs just fine!!!

If this is a 4.0 ltr engine, it could be the fuel pressure regulator located on the front of the fuel rail. When these fail they typically are open and will not let the fuel system pressure build to supply enough fuel for the demand at higher rpms. These are vacuum operated so I would also check for a possible leak in the vacuum hose leading up to it before changing the valve itself. It is very simple to replace.
