Temperature Red lining

I drove my 1999 dodge ram 1500 into town which is 20 min away! everything was fine. then when i came out and turned it on it said that it was overheating and the rad fluids were full and oil was good and everything else seamed normal! when i was driving it home it would go down about 10 degrees then shoot back up so it was red lining and the "check gauges would come on" im stumped

Does the engine really get that hot or is the sensor lying to the computer? Check that there aren't wires melted into a manifold someplace, and do a good visual check. Let it cool down and check the radiator fluid level again. (the tank should have some fluid, but not empty (there is a 'hot' and 'cold' level).

I have a 1999 dodge ram 1500 with automatic hubs (vaccume assist) my front hubs wont lock in so i cant use my 4x4 and i checked the vaccume lines and everything seems fine there. any ideas?

the vacumn motors are usually the bad part on those. remove it from the axle and then put it in 4x4 and see if it actuats or not.

1995 Dodge 1500. drove into town and after shopping went to start truck and turned over and ran for about 5 sec now won't start, has gas in tank. Noticed the last week that my fuel gage was acting funny,...

Your fuel pump is faulty.Ive done 20 of these things.....very common.....super easy to do. less then 3 hours time and do replace the fuel straps and expect to spend around 500 bones for labor and materials

Its like the reverse band needs adjusting so make sure tranny fluid is clean no bunt smell
if its discolored or smells burnt then its clutches & bands!

I have a 1999 Dodge Ram 1500 the air blows out ice cold for about 20 min. and then just shuts off what would cause this I put a gauge in the vent and it was blowing out 38 degrees

I have a 1996 Dodge Ram 1500 club cab. I have had my a/c recharged but it is only blowing barely cold air. It used to shut down when I accelerated and blow hot air before. I don't have that problem anymore except barely cold air. Any solutions?
