This happened to me with my 2013 Kia Optima SX Turbo with the Microsoft UVO audio system. The CD continued to skip due to several scratches and the system finally gave up and would no longer read any CDs. So I selected System Factory Default from the setup menu screen and that rebooted the UVO computer and realigned the CD laser lens. Keep in mind by rebooting the UVO computer you will lose any previously stored information, but your CD player should be functional again.

The relay (fuse type thing located under the hood) was good as well. If that is the case then the motor is the issue. or the switch itself.

SOURCE: 2001 Kia Optima car stereo reads Err 6

I researched this problem for a good while. I could not find an official list of error codes, but a buddy of mine who owns a car audio store says it means the laser is out of alignment. I also found this same explanation on the internet. Nobody talks about fixing the problem, just buying a new head unit. I would invest in a laser cleaning kit. My thinking is that any dirt or debris will will block or perhaps redirect the laser beam. Making sure the lens is clean should be tried before giving up. Best of luck to you.

Where are the headlight fuses located in a 2013 Kia Optima

Fuse boxes are usually at the kick panel (under the steering column on the left), or in the engine compartment (near the battery).

Is there any fix to 2013 kia optima steering problems.it has had multiple alignments new tires and still requires non stop correction when driving to keep it going straight

Has the alignments been done by the same shop every time? If so, you may want to get a different shop to check the alignment. An alignment machine can get bumped or something can get bent to get it out of calibration. The result is the car gets a BAD alignment even though the shop says it is GOOD.
