After removing the transmission it appears to be a simple procedure. Some nice videos on youtube.

The location may depend on engine size. One of your positive battery cables goes to the starter. You may have to get at the starter from underneath.

The starter drive gear has to engage the flywheel teeth. The flywheel is in the bell-housing between the tranny and engine, rwd.

It shouldn't be hard to locate if you get under the vehicle. You may have to safely raise and support the vehicle to get at the starter. Safety is your responsibility

remove the shifter handle and remove solenoid and replace it with a new one solenoid is on the shifter bracket it self. and its easy to replace

Safety switch located under the gear stick mechanism inside the car.Needs replacement.

Take trans out, clutch out, and remove the flywheel bolts.
