How to set a timing belt for fiat palio 1.2 2005

I have information for the 04 Palio but my system won't allow me to copy it.
If you don't receive other replies I can attempt to type an abbreviated version of the fitting procedure if that is what you want.
It seems a fairly straightforward and intuitive process similar to many others and the usual and only likely problem is the tensioning of the belt. Fiat use a service tool with a sliding weight to which no other force is applied but in the absence of this a generic tension gauge would suffice. After more than 30 years of fitting timing belts I would have no hesitation using nothing more than experience, though it would perhaps be wise to increase the checking and future replacement frequency to perhaps that of some of the earlier models.

As the water pump is driven by the timing belt it deserves a very close examination prior to refitting the belt to make an educated guess whether it will go the distance to the next scheduled examination.

you said mileage. but is that

Fiat palio 1.6 twin cam 16valve cam timing

The old trick is to cut the current belt in half along its length, then remove the front most half of the old belt. Slide the new belt up to the remaining half of the old belt, then cut of the old belt and push the new belt fully on to the sprockets.
