After searching on the net we saw a blog that said in rrsponse to having the rattle to ring the suzuki customer service hot line so we did. Found out that our jimny had a VIN number that was part of a recall that is still current. We booked in to get the rattle fixed at no cost they said for 12 Jan 2015. However today as we were driving along the steering column broke completely. We got the jimny towed to the same suzuki dealer and will be fixed free of cost next week. Moral of the story is ring Suzuki customer care and don't put it off!

When we took the car in it was part of a recall but not to fix the steering column or address the death rattle. They replaced the steering column but the car still has the death rattle. We have put the car in again to get the death rattle fixed free of charge. To be continued.......

Either a short in wiring; a fuse is needing replacing or the engine is not running properly, which will cause the light to come on.
