Problem with my 2000 ford taurus water pump.

I have a 2000 ford taurus and i resently had to change the water pump because my car was leaking anifreeze and i thought it was the water pump because it stoped working, and when i went to put the new water pump on and got the anifreeze in it, it started leaking anifreeze still, and when you push on the gas the anifreeze comes poring out and when its ideing it has a slow drip. do you know what it could be?

I just had that same problem with the antifreeze leaking and I thought it was my water pump but I pulled the antifreeze tank off and it was cracked all along the bottom and that was causing the antifreeze to leak out real bad so I went to a nearby junkyard and found a new tank and replaced the cracked one and now it works just fine with no leaks. I hope this works for you liked it worked for me.

Coolant and oil leak

have a compression test done as the bubbles suggest a blown head gasket or cracks. That will account for the overheating. The oil leak may be from the head gasket or cracks.

My 2002 ford taurus leaks anti freeze and was told it was head gaskett or timing gaskett. The oil is fine and the leak is not all the time.

More than likely (and hopefully) it is the timing chain cover gasket. Common problem on Tauruses with the Vulcan V-6. Had the same problem. Replaced gasket and leak stopped. Not cheap if taken to a mechanic, but is doable if you have some experience and the equipment.
