This morning, pretty cold, I started my freezed volvo 1988 740, non-turbo for 1-2 min. I stopped the car but not able to restart it again.
I tried to re-charge the battery. (not able to start again)
I tried to use hair dryer to warm up the engine. (just tried, but not working)
I tried 2-3 hours latter, still not working.
Someone told me to spray starting fluid, but I dont know how and where to do it. (not tried yet.)
Someone said it is the fuel pumping failure.
What should I do?
Check the fuel pump fuse and fuel pump relay first, before replacing the fuel pump. The fuses and relays are behind the the ash tray, The fuses are labelled. The relay is on the left side of the relay rack, closest to the big round bulb out sensor. But before that, how about pouring some gas line anti-freeze or fuel injector cleaner into the tank?
