If it's dying when you let off the throttle, just turn the throttle adjustment screw in a little till it keeps running without your foot on the throttle. I don't know just where this throttle adjustment screw happens to be, but that's what needs done.

SOURCE: 99 volkswagen passat starts, then stalls, won't keep idle

Actually "9" was a typo, Meant to be "(it died and would not hold charge)" - didn't hold shift key down - sorry. Battery is holding charge - the old battery was a good 6 years old!. I believe that when the old battery drained it reset the computer code for base idle, I am going to get a scanner on it to see if clearing the code helps - if not possibly the iddle control valve is faulty? (don't know if this year has one, the part is only listed up to 98 model year)
Sorry again for the mix-up

SOURCE: Car starts ok then cuts out

HI,HANNAH,I SUSPECT YOU HAVE AN IMMOBILIZER PROBLEM.IF THERE IS A ORANGE LIGHT FLASHING ON THE CLUSTER WITH AKEY IN IT THEN IT IS THE IMMOBILIZER.THE PROBLEM WOULD MORE LIKELY BE THE DATA FROM THE KEY IS NOT GETTING TO THE IMMOBILIZER CONTROL UNIT,USUALLY A BAD CONNECTION AT THE READER COIL ON THE IGNITION.YOU MUST CLOSE THE TERMINALS SLIGHTLY AND INSULATE THE WIRING SEPERATELY.ANDY

SOURCE: cuts out when cold

sounds like your inlet manifold hedgehog type heater.... a little electric heater in the inlet manifold basically for cold running.. much like diesel glow plugs kind of idea... this heater is usually bolted up into the bottom of the inlet manifold and has one feed wire to it...

SOURCE: my 2006 chevy impala ac light keeps cutting off

Hello ,maybe i can help. There is a multiple system check to perform, but being as you are asking for help,on fix ya,I can only think you are with out ac gauges and other helpful tools. What we need to check first off is,under the hood, see if the ac compressor is turning when the problem presents it`s self(when the ac light goes off).If so,you may just need a little freon added to the system. If the ac compressor is turning when the ac light is off ,look and see if the cooling fan or fans are running. If the fan or fans are not running, then you have one out of three things happening, One is ,a cooling fan relay is not working,two-as simple as a fuse is blown, and finally,a high side pressure switch that cuts on the cooling fan,or fans has gone out.Of course the possibility of a ac compressor gone weak is also a problem to look at.You may still need a ac service tech to check it out if any of the three things I mentioned are not the problem.I hope this has helped you with your ac problem, and if I can help you any further let me know,,,,[email protected]

SOURCE: 1990 daihatsu applause 101a 1.6lt 5spd manual

I have had the same problem, replaced everything. Have not solved it. Sometimes car stops completely whilst driving. Your problrm will only happen when air con is on. There is a small electronic box under glove box. Turn small dial to the low postition or high, whichever fixes it and also bring your revs up with the idle screw on throttle body. I still have not solved my engine cut out problem, must be a faulty relay. I have replaced the computer and distributor but still have the problem

How to check auto chock ?

"chock"? Do you by any chance mean 'choke', as in a fuel enricher for an engine? Or do you mean some mystery vehicle or trailer that 'auto chocks' the wheels?

The Search Query for this is

'make model auto choke'

Such questions are impossible without 'make model (what it is)'. That should be in all questions, first 3 words.

2006 Toyota Sequoia AC light on dash stays on and AUTO button seems stuck. Did what the manual said to do and it did not work. How do I get the auto button off and is it going to burn out my AC compr

That won't burn out the compressor. It could be dead already. There are several things that will keep the light on, in the dash. High, low pressure switches, A/C .heater controller malfunction, wiring, and the compressor is bad. All these turn the light on, but all will shut down the system. Put it on a scanner and find out what's wrong.

Auto choke is stuck getting gas into motoroil how do i fix choke

buy a carb rebuild kit (wow old car a near record here....)
or convert auto choke to manual, done every carb car i owned.
i hate auto chokes, all of them , water, stove, or electric, hate.
on hot days, no choke, , no flooding. no washing oil off rings either.
you learn quick just how much chock is best .

finding carb kits are a bit hard , here is uSA.
google for one,
or
ok rock has it

http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/raframecatalog.php?carcode=1277197&parttype=6004

and the full rebuild ket too.

seems it the electric type.
replace it and set it like the FSM states.
varies by climate and altitude (higher is less chock set)

Rear brakes on 2006 f150 need changing

There should be two bolts that hold the caliper to the axle assembly. Remove these two bolts and slide the caliper off. At this point check the rotors for abnormal wear or grooves. Depending on how many miles you have on them I would replace them regardless. Before you insert the new pads into the caliper I like to use a C clamp and a piece of flatstock to force the pistons back to their original location. If you don't do this you will not be able to fit the caliper over the rotor. Before installing the caliper if you did buy the new rotors use some brake cleaner to remove any of the cosmoline oil that they are shipped with. Remember to chock your front wheels or use jackstands if you have enough. Good luck!
