I think it's a wiring problem with central locking. Lights flash when key fob pressed but no locking mechanism. No warning light on dash, internal light indicates when car should be locked but is not. Am I right in thinking wiring?
I had a problem where my key fob did not lock or unlock the car, Renault Clio Dynamique, but the central locking button in the car did still work and engine turned over fine. Changed the key fob battery still nothing. Read online about disconnecting and reconnecting the car battery, (negative only) and hey presto it worked! All working fine now!

Don't know if will work for you but here it goes:
1 - no key in ingnition
2 - press the unlock button in console off the car for about 10 seconds(dont let go)
3 - it should work the central doors one time and then 2 times( hear)
4 - press the remote a few times until it starts working
It worked for me hope the same for you.
Please tell me if it worked and pass the message.

Hi, have a Renault Megane car, trip computer says replace car batteries, did this but message never went away it stayed on the trip computer. Had car serviced and asked them to check my key card, staff said my card was faulty even though it works perfectly well apart from message on trip computer asking me to change battery? Also staff said my spear card would go the same war as I have never used it, I was keeping it safe for emergency use, staff said eventually both cards will de-program. Is this information correct?
Many thanks.

I'm more familiar with Range Rovers and Saab's when it comes to key fobs but if you changed the battery you have to re-program the key fob. If you do not have an owner's manual that can take you through the steps you might want to try: push and hold the lock button on the key fob, put it in the driver's side door and turn to lock. With the button still depressed turn back to open, remove the key and release the button. If this doesn't work check any and all fuses associated with your system and last but not least you could take it to a dealer. Good luck!

I am not very familiar with this auto maker, however it seems as if the door warning sensor is fused in the open position. I would recommend changing the sensor. I'll do some more research on this auto maker and provide more specific details on how to complete the change. Thank You

I believe you have to press the button very quickly 2 times. One time is just for the drivers door then two times very quick to unlock all..
Testimonial: "Brilliant!! Just tried that and it works. Thanks very much."
