2002 daewoo leganza 1st gear OK but wont automatically jump to 2nd n so on as it would do automatically I have to oust the hold button (over-drive) for it to catch gears..why so..plus I'm told by diagnositic my computer is damage as off check engine is on for that purpose would it turned out great if I get a new manufactured computer. Thanx.

If the clutch feels firm with no play u may have worn syncronizer's in the trans, take it to trans shop and have them road test it, they will not charge in most cases.

CHECKING FLUID LEVEL
1. With the vehicle on a level surface and the fluid in the transaxle cold, remove the filler plug and check the fluid level. The fluid should come to the bottom edge of the plug hole.
2. If the level is low, add SAE 80 manual transaxle fluid through the filler plug hole until the fluid begins to run out.
3. Reinstall the filler plug and tighten it securely. The speed gears and the synchronizer parts on this vehicle receive lubrication through specific passages in the mainshaft. It takes 1.8 liters (1.90 quarts) to fill the transaxle completely.
its located next to drive shaft some on left hand side others on right hand side depending what gearbox.

Usually daewoo prints the code on a sticker on top of the radio. Pull off the dash cover and look it to see if you can see the code. Or pull out the radio and see if it is there.
