My left blinker blinks rapid. My front and rear bulbs are good. When I put the headlights on the blinking slows down but still in a rapid and irregular way. I have a 1999 Subaru Legacy L.

Hi The blinker needs rewiring some how the existing cable must have been crushed or damaged either when your headlight broke or damaged it may be as simple as the earth wire on the headlight is also the same earth wire for you left front blinker. Please leave me feed back: Malcolm Campbell, Thanks.
you will need to inspect all of the left side blinker bulbs one of the bulbs that is supposed to blink is bad my buddy has a caviler that had the same problem one of the bulbs ended up being bad it was the rear drivers side bulb. there is also a flasher relay locater under the dash that tends to go bad just listen for the ticking and replace the flasher the flasher costs about 8 bucks at you autopart store ask for a flasher relay. i hope this helps.
the rapid blink is because there is a bulb outage some where, Pull Over turn on left Blinker Get out of your car look at the front left blinker hen walk to the rear of your car and look at the left rear Blinker light then do the same for the right side blinkers if all are working rapidly your left right switch is bad
dimmer switch on headlight stalk, its all thats left, sometimes by working the dimmer switch rapidly cleans the contacts and it may comeback to life, most of the time this switch is left in the high position and may noy be moved for the entire life of the car, good luck
Usually a fast turn signal means that there is a light out. You should probably check all of your lights, including back-up lights, and turn signals. If there is one out then replacing the burnt out bulb should fix the problem.
