I have a 2003 Toyota 4-Runner. The keyless alarm has stopped working on the drivers side door.

On the driver side the actuator is more likely the culprit, the linkage could of come off or the actuator just doesnt work

The sunroof will not close

Hello,

I know your under pressure to get this thing closed because it is raining. This is not a easy fix or fast fix.You have to get in to where the motor is, where you will see where it is at toward the compartment in ceiling where toward your rear view mirror. Now, here is the problem. I have had several !! customers that has actually caused more damage trying to manually bypass and close it. Here is the problem. What has happened is, the wrenching sound your hearing is the gear is stripped or off the track, most likely it is stripped as they are cheap gear parts. BUT point is this, PLEASE take my advice, drive into a Toyota dealer or good mechanic shop, and THEY know how to take apart the proper arm that controls this mechanism to manually close it, until you have time and or money to get the part replaced and fixed proper. They can get in there and do this and even fix this if just off track in no time and sense they know how, will save you damaging other parts that are very important that control your sliding, closing and tilt. I as a mechanic never have my customers attempt this at home, as this is the job for experience technician; Thanks Mike PS. for average shop to manually close it and bypass the broken peace for now takes about 30 minutes for experienced technician.

Half of my multi-information display

Those are LED lights that can be replaced, but do NOT go to the dealer! They'll try to get you to replace the entire cluster.

There's a way you can take care of this, if youre handy.

Here's a link on how to access the lights:

To replace a bulb, you'll have to cut n re-solder an LED that you can pick up at Radio Shack.
