corroded battery terminals, clean them, and try jumper cables. both way use same crappy terms. what transmission A/T or M/T my guess, A/T so wiggle the gear shift, try neutral starts. this is the PRNDL switch wiggling it finds new fresh brass on the switch contacts, wiggle as you crank the key. if that fails then hot wire the starter solenoid. if that act causes cranking, then the starter and battery and cables are good. and means the KEY LINE is bad. if no crank , hot wired, then that means the starter bad. (pull it out see if they shut off?) if the relay is good then its input is wrong. the control block. the combo switch wipers on , sends a CAN buss digital commands to the MICU control block, this i turn powers up the wiper relay. the MICU has a diagnostic port,and can be tested at the dealer or errors. if the relay coil pins are hot all the time, then the MICU /combo side is failing, if not, the problem is the relay ,if its output is hot all the time. how is that?

its electric, and all electr. check fuses first. (read operators guide in glove box) under fuses.... it can only be 3-4 things. 1: bad fuse. (dead car battery, car run?) 2: bad wires. (yes, connectors too) 3: bad motor 4: it's jammed, (near impossible on rear) if you have a voltmeter, all this is easy. use it and find if you have 12v to the motor. end story.

The starter has nothing to do with hard steering. For hard steering check the front tire air pressure, power steering fluid, and the power steering belt.

If the airbag light is on than there is a problem with the airbag system. You will need a high end scan tool to scan the abs module for trouble codes. Once you know the codes you will be able to start figuring out what needs to be repaired. Once the repairs are made the light can be cleared with a scan tool or if the correct repair was mad the light should go out once its self check is complete the next time you start the vehicle. Did who checked the engine, did he check spark plugs? Give it a shot to check if they are ok or do they need replacement.

Start by replacing the oil sending unit.

Yes, it does need a gasket.

Did you use 2 spring compressors to compress the spring ( one on either side of the spring) One alone will not do the job as you have found out.

You will have to first check the wiper motor relay in case it has become fused and stuck.After that, then you need to check the switch operation on the wiper stalk.
