What about the wiring harness check the crank and cam sensor conections and wires, i had the same problem and there is where i found it

first issue sounds like a bad/worn out tooth on the cable. when the gear slips it wont read correctly. your wipers on the other hand, probably need a little more information

I don,t think there a sure way to know,besides a visual inspection for tears ,loose ness .If the car has been sitting along time,or its been over 70 000 miles.Id change it,A new belt could save you a towing charge or more;

Rear main seal is probably the problem.

My 1997 Dodge Neon has this same problem. My father-in-law (who used to be a mechanic) checked the car for me and found the rear main seal needs replacing.

How much are you loosing? If its just a little that could be from nothing more than expansion. If you are loosing a lot that could be either from overheating (steam) which would suggest the water isn't circulating and cooling or from a head gasket leak causing air to be injected into the water jacket and displacing the water.

Are you getting any oil in the water? foam? does the water appear to be milky?

It sounds as though you may have a short. Fisrt I would suggest using a voltage meter on one of the sockects is out completely, if there is low/no voltage running through it I would then trace the wire harness from the dash back. it's possible that it was kinked or bent causing a break or short. Check your rear light bulb's could be bad, same bulb for turn and brake light's.

try changing fuses any way somtimes there dirty or coroted and dont make good contact even though they test good and look good still could be the problem
