How to hook up spark
Firing order on a GM 350 is 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2. Odd numbers are on the driver's side and even numbers on the left, front to back. #1 is at the 4 o'clock position on the cap, just past a holddown screw, and the distributor turns clockwise. Hope this helps.
I have a 1988 Chevy K 2500 4x4 with 5.7 liter V-8
Just turn the key on, but don't start and listen to the fuel pump in the fuel tank--it should run for a short period, then turn off. If it continues to run, the pump is likely in need of replacement or you have a pressure leak somewhere. Good luck!

YEP BE A WHOLE EASIER.AND YOU SEE WHAT YOU DOING.EVERY TIME I CHANGED POSITIVE BATTERY CABLE I DROP THE STARTER SO YOU WILL HAVE WIRE IN THE RIGHT POSITION.
I need a serpentine drive
Serpentine belts are easy to change. The key is knowing where the 1/2" square drive tensioner is and to remove tension to the belt at this point.
If you remove the belt, it's easy to put the new one on because the pulleys are designed with grooves for the groove side of the belt, and smooth pulleys for the smooth back of the belt to ride on the pulleys.
Just go over, under, over, under until the belt is threaded on, except for the last idler pulley which is smooth.
Use the 1/2" breaker bar to turn the pulley until one can slip the belt onto the last 'idler' pulley and you're done.
How to replace the knock sensor on a 2004
Hello Friend:
Your Anti-Knock Sensor is Located With Hood Raised Facing the Engine Compartment,Its on the LEFT SIDE Right Under your Exhaust Manifold Towards the Back.
On the Engine Block ,You'll see Your Anti-Knock Sensor Wires running to it.
Its a Little hard to Get to but Not so hard that you can't do it Yourself.
Disconnect the Wire Connector, And Take a Good Look at the Wires,Since it Runs so Close to your Exhaust you could have Also some Faulty Wiring going to the Sensor.
Just Un Screw the Anti-Knock Senser and Replace New.
This will get your Anti-Knock Sensor Replaced With A New One Like i Said Look very Good at the Wiring Going to the Sensor.

2004 silverado 6.0l.resister keeps burning
Only a couple of things can cause this, if the resistor is obstructed and cannot cool properly it will burn out. It must have a clean path of air to it, check for leaves or obstructions. The other is a faulty blower motor. Even if it works, the armature can be worn out and shorting intermittently, drawing way too much current through he resistor. After this many resistor replacements, I'd probably just replace the motor.
Hope this helps,
Dave

Hi: It sounds like you have a Blown Head Gasket or a Cracked Head. But I would bet that its the Head Gasket.Do this Test on your Engine. Remove all the Spark Plugs and Probally should Mark the Wires as you pull them off each Plug..FILL the Radiator ALL the way; Get your buddy or someone to Turn the Key Like Trying to Start it. You need to be Watching where the Plugs came out and Look to See if Your Getting Water And Coolant Out of Any of the Spark Plug Holes. This will Comfirm you have a Blown Head Gasket. Do Both Sides on Both Heads .Also have your Heads Magnafluxed, And Have Them Checked for Warpage.Hope this helped you. Please Reply so I'll know what you found. Vote For my Solutions. My headlights and cab lights stopped working in my
Headlights get power straight from the battery via the starter. Remove the wire harness from the headlight switch and use a test light to see if you have power at the large red wire. I'm thinking you don't which means the fusible link down by the starter is bad.
Two of the wires on the solenoid have a rubber plug on them about 6" from the solenoid. Those are the fusible links. One shuts down power to most of the car including the headlight switch and the other shuts down the ingnition system. I forget which is which. Anytime I had one go bad I replaced both, just in case. All you have to do is cut out the rubber plug and splice the two wires together and you are good to go. Just be sure you wrap them up good, heat shrink tube and electrical tape, to keep out water and road grime.
Hope this helps.
