check linkage and pins

There are fusible links that go bad. They are located by the battery or at the starter. Looking at the power wires being red. The links will be a different color, soldered in to the line. You can check the with a volt meter on each side of the link.

Change speed sensor plug in did you also change the ecm because you have are it won't shift

Mechanics rule of thumb my friend,check all grounds FIRST.Make sure grounds are clean and not corroded before checking ANYTHING else.

Clean the fuel injectors and air filter

I'm thinking it has the 700R4 transmission. If so...could be burned up...these do this very easy and a common issue. Could also be shift solenoid/governer but I think you would experience other shift problems also.

it could be the front axel actuator may not be working cause it sounds to me like it was weak but it could also be the locking sincer on the transfrercase

one of the injectors are out discoonect one start it if not try the next one which ever one starts it then that would be the one to replace

Should be on driver side mounted to firewall above and left of brake pedal. Owners manual will give you the fuse number. Remote possibility it's in the engine compartment, the manoal will nlet you know

Congratulations on owning one of the finest transmissions made.
The problem is most likely from the computer. Try unhooking the ground cable on the negative side of the battery and wait about 30 minutes. Then hook it back and run the truck for 20 minutes. It takes roughly this time to fully reset the computer. If this doesn't cure the problem - you have bad sending unit.
I hope this gets you going. Now is a good time to call your dealer and ask about any RECALLS -they will tell you FREE and this can save you thousands. of dollars.
