Wire on the side of the transmission is undone or loose,,, its a gound wire switch

It has probably melted the wires. Usually happens by the switch. Pull it out and cut the tape starting at the plug and work your way back.

Sorry to say this, but the 700r4 was a piece of junk. You can have it rebuilt. If memory serves you can replace it with a 350 or 400 hydramatic
