I need wiring guide for 2000 Cadillac Deville fuel pump

Here's a wiring guide for the fuel pump on a 2000 Cadillac Deville: 1. Remove the fuel tank and access the fuel pump module. 2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the top of the fuel pump module. 3. Locate the wiring harness that runs from the fuel pump module to the car's electrical system. 4. Cut the wires on the old fuel pump module connector, leaving enough wire to splice the new connector onto. 5. Connect the black wire from the new fuel pump module connector to the black wire in the car's wiring harness. 6. Connect the purple wire from the new fuel pump module connector to the purple wire in the car's wiring harness. 7. Connect the gray wire from the new fuel pump module connector to the gray wire in the car's wiring harness. 8. Connect the black/white wire from the new fuel pump module connector to the black/white wire in the car's wiring harness. 9. Connect the new fuel pump module electrical connector to the car's wiring harness connector. 10. Reinstall the fuel tank. Note that it is important to follow the wiring guide carefully to ensure proper installation and avoid damaging the fuel pump or electrical system. If you are unsure about any step of the process, it is recommended to seek assistance from a professional mechanic or refer to the vehicle's service manual.

How do you wire a replacement fuel pump into a 1999 Ford Ranger that has a wire for a flexfuel sensor on the truck harness, but not on the replacement fuel pump?

Before you begin, it is important to note that modifying electrical systems in a vehicle can be dangerous, and it is always best to consult with a professional mechanic or electrician before attempting any repairs.
That being said, here are the general steps for wiring a replacement fuel pump into a 1999 Ford Ranger that has a wire for a flexfuel sensor on the truck harness, but not on the replacement fuel pump:
  1. Locate the fuel pump relay in the power distribution box under the hood of your Ford Ranger. The fuel pump relay is usually marked on the cover of the box.
  2. Remove the fuel pump relay and identify the two pins that connect to the fuel pump.
  3. Connect a wire to each of these two pins on the fuel pump relay.
  4. Connect the other end of these two wires to the corresponding wires on the replacement fuel pump. Typically, one wire will be for the power supply, and the other will be for the ground connection.
  5. Locate the wire for the flexfuel sensor on the truck harness. This wire will be a different color than the wires for the fuel pump.
  6. Cut the wire for the flexfuel sensor, leaving enough room to splice in a new wire.
  7. Strip the insulation from the ends of the cut wire and the new wire that you will use to connect the fuel pump.
  8. Twist the bare ends of the two wires together and secure them with a wire connector or solder.
  9. Connect the other end of the new wire to the appropriate terminal on the fuel pump.
  10. Test the fuel pump to make sure it is functioning properly before starting the engine.
It is important to note that the exact process for wiring a replacement fuel pump can vary depending on the make and model of the vehicle, as well as the specific replacement part being installed. Therefore, it is always best to consult the manufacturer's instructions and wiring diagrams, or seek the advice of a professional mechanic, before attempting any repairs.

Keep blowing Fuel pump fuse 95 Buick Park Avenue

You may have a short in wiring to fuel pump. Try this! remove the wires from fuel pump, then turn key to start the car briefly. If the fuse does not blow, its likely the fuel pump is drawing to much current and blowing the fuse. God-Bless!

I replace the fuel pump on my 1992 ford bronco and still doesnt supply fuel is there a relay i dont know of

Are you getting battery power and ground at the fuel pump connector? (This should have been checked BEFORE replacing the pump)

Other things to check:
1. Fuel Pump relay in the Engine Compartment Fuse Block
2. The relay is powered (Secondary -or- "fuel pump side") by Fuse 0 in the Engine Compartment Fuse Block.
3. The relay Primary -or- "control" side is powered by Pin 37 RED wire at the PCM
4. The relay Primary control (or ground circuit) is operated by Pin 22 LIGHT BLUE/ORANGE wire at the PCM
5. The Inertia Fuel Shut-off Switch located between the fuel pump relay and the fuel pump may need to be reset. The switch is located behind the right kick panel. The DARK GREEN/YELLOW wire at the switch is the feed from the fuel pump relay. The other wire goes to the fuel pump. Some units have the DARK GREEN/YELLOW wire going in and the wire going out can also be DARK GREEN/YELLOW, or PINK, or ORANGE - the wiring diagram for your vehicle does not specify the color of the wire that actually goes to the fuel pump itself.)
6. If none of the above produce any results, make sure that your ground wire at the fuel pump has good continuity to ground. It usually screws to the left frame rail near the fuel tank.

Any of these components (including the PCM) or their connecting wires could be the cause of your problem.

Put new fuel pump now the pump runs but the power wire only has 7 volts of power how much is it suppose to have

If your pump is running on 7vdc, you are not getting enough fuel pressure to sufficiently supply the engine with gas, and it will run rough, sputter, surge, backfire, all manner of unpleasant things. If this is the case, and you are reading 7vdc while the pump is connected, this could indicate a problem within the fuel pump or fuel pump electrical circuit. Turn the car off, unplug the fuel pump wire harness from the fuel pump, insert your voltmeter leads into the vehicle-to-fuel pump wire harness connector, then have a helper turn the key to "on." You will have two-three seconds before the computer senses no fuel pump return signal, and shuts off voltage to the fuel pump. Observe the voltage coming from the vehicle wire harness to the fuel pump connector, it should be 11-13vdc. If it is, and only drops to 7vdc when connected, there is a partial short in the wiring from the point the fuel pump plugs into the harness, or the pump just creates a large voltage drop. Every device causes a voltage drop while in use, but 5vdc is too much of a loss. Re-examine the fuel pump installation, and make sure there are no obstructions over the fuel pump inlet, and that the wire harness inside the tank is okay.

Birning the fesue for the fuel pump

You could have a short in the wire harness to the fuel pump or the fuel pump it self is bad or the relay has gone bad also. Start with the replacement of the fuel pump relay and also find the wire harness to the fuel pump sending unit from the frame to the gas tank and disconnect the connections. If the fuse does not blow when the connection to the fuel pump is disconnected, then it's a go chance that it's the fuel pump. If the fuse blows and the wire harness is disconnected, then the problem is towards the fuel pump relay and fuse block. Good luck and keep me posted, be glad to help you get your car running 100% again.

What wire is the power for the fuel pump at the pump

there were some production changes in 1998 to the fuel pump wiring, so the connector can have 2 diff fuel pump power wire colors, the most common color is grey, but the the harness at the tank has just 4 wires, the larger wires at the four wire oval connector are the fuel pump 12 Volt and the other is the ground, it is black, the other 2 wires are the sending unit, also the connectors ( Chevy factory service bulletin) on this year had a problem with burning, so if you get a new fuel pump always replace the 4 wire fuel pump connector. I have attreached a picture of the connector
