I have a 2005 Buick Rainer. Heating and air work. Temperature controls work. But the directional control for what vent you want the air to come out of quit working. It stuck on defrost/floor. Can't get it to change ports. Doesn't respond to directional choices.

There are air doors in the HVAC box that control air flow and temperature, and each has an actuator controlled by your HVAC control. At least one door is stuck, and this is usually because of an actuator problem. In your car, that actuator could be either vacuum or electrically controlled, and In order to fix the problem, the actuator has be diagnosed. Unfortunately they are very hard to get at under the dash, and usually requires a qualified shop to do this.

Where is cruise control fuse for 2005 rainer

Here is the fuse box diagrams for the 2 different engine options...and the 2 different box locations Buick Rainer 2003 2006 fuse box diagram Auto Genius HOWEVER ... I do not think there is an associated fuse for cruise control. That function is totally run from your on board computer (ECM). What can make the cruise not work is if any fault codes have occurred... Has your check engine light come on? Some people with the same problem (that do not have an OBDll scanner to read or clear codes) disconnected their battery to reset the ECM. The cruise control then worked .... but if the root cause of the fault is not fixed ... then the same thing will likely happen again Helpful? Good luck with your troubleshooting

Vehicle doesn't always start. Sometimes when its started it will shut off and not start back up. Shop did have it but not a single code came up.

cars that have "funny" problems that don't store any codes , typically are difficult to diagnose the problem Me id start with the fuse panel ( both of them) and look real good at the connection all the fuses have in it , then look at each fuse (bottom) and see if any have signs of corrosion in them (power or chalk coating) I did have a Chrysler one time that wouldn't start after a rain , but would run fine after it dried out , turns out the fuse panel had a cover with a crack in it (not obvious) allowing water to get fuses wet , this one took several weeks to find it

My windshield wipers will not turn off or control properly.

Module is bad. Replace the wiper motor. Check the motor plug for corrosion first. Clean it and the motor plug with battery cleaner if it is corroded (white to greenish color) bad. Sometimes this will fix the problem.
