How do u change the

this is not an easy job-you need to remove lower splash shield, air dam, passenger tire and inner fender on the passenger side, the surge tank, drain the radiator,, remove the air box and intake tube, move the engine computer and position it out of the way-remove the headlights, remove the bolts that hold the radiator to the radiator support and frame, remove hoses, remove the bolts that hold the radiator fan to the radiator core, remove the top support, remove the fan harness...then, remove loosen the compressor, move it out of the way then unbolt the alternator and the alternator harness. It will take 2 to 3 hours to do all of this, these were not designed to take apart easily.

How do you get to

A little hard to get to are they? It makes life a lot easier if you remove the ignition control module and coil assemblies from the valve cover.

Most people freak out when we professional repair technicians quote prices for replacing spark plugs. They say WHAT??? Your're going to charge me THAT MUCH?.... JUST for spark plugs???

Now you know WHY!

1999 olds aurora security system-

First, work on your remote. Clean the contacts and battery with a number 2 pencil eraser to make sure that you have good electrical contact. Or order another remote keypad from the dealer. And I would also order a couple of door keys to go along with it.

Once you have them, then disconnect the battery terminals, charge the battery for several hours, then reconnect. That should reset all the alarms, and get you back to normal.

"Working around" the security system is never a good idea, and requires extensive rewiring or car theft type of equipment.

My aurora runs around 240

When you replaced the thermostat did you replace it with a lesser degree than called for? If your vehicle runs that high constantly then I would suggest it.

Can you find "hot" spots on your engine with a thermometer? Or is the termperature pretty constant. When you check the radiator make sure you check all the way across to make sure that you check for a partial radiator blockage. Because that is one possible cause.

Oldsmobile aurora keeps overheating i

The water is leaving somewhere, either leaking out, going into the oil, or going into the exhaust. I would add a bottle of Bar's Stop Leak first. Usually if you smell the antifreeze it indicates a pretty good sized leak. I have had very good results with Bar's.
Check the carpet in the front by the firewall, between the drivers and passengers side. When the heater core leaks you usually get a wet carpet. This would be a fairly inexpensive repair relative to you other options.
