In spite of what Firestone did it still sounds like you have a defective speed sensor. Other people have also had this problem and it was solved by replacing the speed sensor. I hope it resolves your problem.

Many possible causes. Leak can be when you drive, but not show on your driveway. The heater could be leaking into the passenger area, though you'd likely smell the "maple syrup" smell of anti-freeze. It's also possible that you have a head gasket leak into the coolant, causing the overheating, and blowing some of your coolant out. Get a compression test on the cooling system, and a compression check on the cylinders.

Have you tried asking them to just flush the system, as well as reverse flush? Sometimes that will clean it out enough to get you where it needs to be for now. If not, I'd try that, at another shop, obviously, if for no other reason, a second opinion. Try one that specializes in radiators if there is one in your area. If no luck, and your handy at all, I can tell you what I did to clean core out a few times that worked pretty well for me, and only cost me about $20-$30, and a little time. Let me know if your up to it, but I'd gamble the cost of a flush, and my method, before I'd pay $100's of dollars for new core.

I have the same issue. I found that the plastic gear under the stearing wheel is stripped and it automatically rotates to the cold function. Seems like a simple fix but i went to nissan today and of course they want to sell me the whole heater box. its easily accessable to check it out. You can see where the cable comes from your hot/cold knob.

May need a new window regulator installed.

this is your fuel level sensor is having low input voltage try cleaning the connector that plugs into it this could be corroded/dirty contacts causing this try as much as you can to get it clean if its needed if this does not work the sensors shot

there is a big leak in your evaporative emission system look for a broken hose or a loud hissing sound from the components check all the to the canister/s for the vehicle there is a broken rubber hose or a broken nylon line?

It's a communications problem between modules on the CANS system. U1000 is usually wiring/grounds, U1001 is usually a module. Any symptoms?

it will not ,the reason being is that the certificate of homoglonation for this vehicle with this chassis number does not specify a bigger engine ,and as such it will fail the yearly mechanical inspection as the vehicle does not conform to the paperwork .
