I have a psr=175 that

Hello,
when you say it does not start, do you mean it does not power up at all? If yes, then your psr=175 is having a power problem. Check your power adapter and make sure it is not defective. You can borrow one and test it with your psr=175 to confirm it fault is not from the adapter.
It might have worked fine in the past, but that's electronics for you. Power surge, irregular power supply, excess power supply, etc can affect the unit thereby not making it to power on.
This unit must have a power supply board in it where power enters from the mains. A capacitor, fuse, diode, etc may have been defective on the power board and maybe that's why its not making the unit turn on. There might also be some disconnection or something, inside the unit which is not making it to power on.
To actually find out what's wrong, you need to disassemble the unit with a screw driver and check what's wrong. You will be needing a meter in order to test the components on the power board, once you detect any bad component, you can make necessary replacement at any electronics accessories store withing our vicinity. This is the only way by which you can detect the problem.
Of course, testing the power board with a meter will require someone that has the ability. So it you can't, then you might be needing the help of a repairman or you can call a friend that has the ability to help you out.
I wish you the best of luck.
Regards.

Yamaha GO46 is not recognized as an audio device - wdm driver not instaled properly

get a new soundcard GO46 is a bag of trouble. I had to get a special Firewire Card with a Texas Instrument chip, since the cheap internal firewire interfaces don't work with this card. Also make sure you are not running XP64, since it is not supported. good luck

if you are having problems with your sound if your computer came with a motherboard disc the sound drivers could be on it click start control panel administrive tools computer management device manager scroll to sound, video and game controllers you might see a yellow question mark? Right click to reinstall drivers click start control panel sounds and audio, volume, advanced, speakers make sure you have selected the (((appropriate speakers))) also audio you will find 3 drop down lists make sure you have the correct settings there also click start control panel sounds and audio devices you can adjust the volume there also select speaker volume you can change your settings there you can also tick in the box place icon in taskbar if his does not fix the problem

have you tried this control panel sounds and audio, volume, advanced, speakers select the appropriate speakers from the drop down list or navigate to the device manager scroll to system devices + to expand, system speaker right click properties then select use this device (enable) also you might check the speakers plug/outlet is usually at the back of the computer you will have to open up the computer to check the lead attached to the rear of the input plug make sure the connection is good try cleaning your computer of dust using a fine air blower from a compressor making VERY sure that there is no MOISTURE in the air line specifically around the sound card and the CPU central processing unit dust causes static to build up in a computer hope this helps

Just loaded the yamaha dp-u50

Unfortunately the software will not work with Windows 7. However it will work if you install XP mode, but only inside the Virtual PC - XP Window, ie you will need to play your sound applications from the XP window. Don't forget to request the USB device from the dropdown menu. Shameful that Yamaha does not provide support.

On my DGX-220, five notes have gone

Most likely a defect rubber-underlay-contact-pad. Not a user-replaceable item.
Yamaha tech will have to see it. You WILL destroy the keyboard further with the soldering iron.
